Launch Radar replaces your new tab with two lists worth glancing at: today's Show HN launches, and what's moving on the BidToViral board right now — recent bids, current top of the Website lane, clicks published per card. A clock too. Nothing else.
No account, no tracking, no analytics, no permissions beyond reading the two public data sources. It keeps a ten-minute response cache in your browser so a burst of new tabs costs one request; that cache is the only thing it stores.
The Chrome Web Store listing is in review. Until it lands you can load it unpacked: the source is in the site's repository under extensions/launch-radar — open chrome://extensions, enable developer mode, and point "Load unpacked" at that folder.
